What’s your favorite resort? What’s your favorite cruise line?

I get this question so often “What it is the best all-inclusive resort?” or “What is the best cruise line?” It is also asked so many times on Facebook pages “What’s your favorite…”

Vacation planning is far from a one-size-fits-all scenario. The “best” resort or cruise line depends entirely on what someone values most in their travel experience. What may be best for one person doesn’t mean it is best for the next person. You wouldn’t want to bring your small children to a resort that hosts bachelor parties.

This may seem like an easy answered question as you’re looking for a quick getaway, family vacation, or even celebrating a special occasion. But there are literally thousands of all-inclusive resorts out there and over fifty cruise lines. And they are all so different in many ways.

This question is SO HARD to answer. Let me explain why.

What do YOU want?

Beach or pool or both? Do you want to try beaches all over the world?

How about the food? Are you a foodie? Do you want buffets, a la carte dining with fine dining or grab and go?

Are you interested in a spa treatments?

What about a waterpark or golf nearby? Or a waterslide on the ship?

Do you want an adult only or family friendly resort or cruise line?

What type of room or cabin are you looking for?

Do you want something close to town that may offer a night life? Or a cruise that travels to many countries?

How far do you want to travel from the airport to the resort or port?

What about the entertainment? Is that important to you?

Are there any other services that may be important to you?

How much are you willing to pay for that vacation?

Are you overwhelmed yet? I know it can become very overwhelming very quickly. But asking for recommendations online or from friends may not get you what will be the best resort or cruise for YOU!

What are the most important things to you?

What type of atmosphere are you looking for?

Do you want a big name resort or cruise line or are you looking for something special or unique that is more service oriented?
